  1. Beautifully and wisely written.

“The journey toward healing isn’t about erasing the past; it’s about acknowledging it and integrating it into your present.” Yes! That’s where wisdom comes from 👌

    1. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! You’re absolutely right—wisdom truly comes from embracing our past and learning from it. It’s such a powerful way to grow and move forward with clarity. I’m glad this resonates with you! 😊

      1. Too many people are talked into demonizing their pasts.

I read about a doctor who worked with the really hardcore teams of medical volunteers, who go to the outlying homeless camps where a lot of people live who can’t come in for treatment without guaranteeing arrest ~ often for nothing more than accumulated unpayable camping tickets.

“I believe I went a little crazy, ma’am,” one of her clients humbly told her.

She reached out to him. “We all do, at one point or another,” she replied. “It’s what we do with what we learn, afterward, that counts.”

In the words of Papa Cohen,”There’s a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in…”

  2. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! You’re absolutely right; many people end up demonizing their pasts instead of recognizing the lessons learned. The doctor’s experience with her client is a powerful reminder that we all struggle at times. It’s not about the struggles we face, but how we respond to them. I love the quote from Leonard Cohen: “There’s a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.” It perfectly captures how our vulnerabilities can lead to growth and understanding. Each of us has the ability to transform our past into something meaningful, illuminating our path forward.
