Why you should Not Allow yourself to be Controlled by Limiting Beliefs

Why you should Not Allow yourself to be Controlled by Limiting Beliefs

Why you should Not Allow yourself to be Controlled by Limiting Beliefs. Your limiting beliefs are those negative beliefs about yourself that not only weaken your sense of self-worth but stand in the way of what you really want for yourself and your life.

It is useful for you to be deliberate about determining your self-limiting beliefs.

Here are some common beliefs:

Many of us are constantly striving to grow professionally and personally in our lives. But the chances are that an underlying, deeply ingrained negative belief is limiting our progress or growth.

Limiting beliefs are thoughts, opinions that one believes to be the absolute truth. They tend to have a negative impact on one’s life by stopping them from moving forward and growing on a personal and professional level.

These beliefs may be conscious, but more than likely they will be unconscious. They may be unconscious limitations that have been conditioned from a young age and throughout your entire life, by listening to those around you who never reached for their own dream. Notice your limiting beliefs and stop them.

There is nothing you can not do, nothing you can not have, and as this universe is my witness there is NO ONE you can not become if you believe in yourself!

If you believe anything is possible, guess what, anything is POSSIBLE! When you change your belief from limited to unlimited. Your potential is unlimited.

Imagine what you could achieve if you lived your life as though ANYTHING is possible. As though miracles are a standard requirement of every day. As the saying goes:

“When there is no enemy within, the enemy outside can do you no harm”

When you have nothing inside holding you back, there is nothing outside that can hold you back either. Your entire life will change the very instant you decide to change your mindset. The instant you decide to see everything as a gift. When you DECIDE to see every circumstance and challenge as a blessing rather than a curse.

Every new year we set aside some time to establish new goals, objectives, and things we want to achieve.

We start the year off with admirable willpower but it’s not uncommon to arrive at a point when our motivation drops off and our plans and goals become unachievable.

Of course, some big and small life changes could have affected your goals from coming to fruition but your beliefs and attitude play an important part in what does and doesn’t happen.

Tony Robbins once said: “The only thing that’s keeping you from getting what you want is the story you keep telling yourself.”

What you tell yourself is what you believe. This can play a big role in how you see the world and how you feel.

Open your mind and you will discover a belief that’s preventing you from being successful. This is also known as limiting beliefs.

We all have limiting beliefs that stop us from achieving our dreams or even our everyday goals. In order to identify and change those beliefs, you need to work on your self-awareness muscle. The secret is to be accountable and take responsibility for the beliefs you created for yourself.

Ultimately, you want to get in the practice of recognizing a limiting belief and reframing it to help you take a step forward.

And if you’re still encountering limiting beliefs, remember the advice of Mahatma Gandhi:

“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”

Change starts within you. Once you start, embrace your teammates, family, and friends to do the same, then you will see a shift in your team’s behavior and performance which will contribute to success and eventually make a difference in the world.

If you want to live a GREAT life, don’t allow yourself to be controlled by Limiting Beliefs.
