Understanding and Accepting who You are

Understanding and accepting who You are

Understanding and accepting one’s abilities and strengths is the first step to utilizing those abilities for a positive change in your life.

Proverbs 19:8 says: “Whoever gets sense loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will discover good.”

If you are aware of your talents, you can have a positive attitude towards learning what you lack and thus being able to work towards it. You can still find the beauty and strengths inside you, even while having all the flaws. Know what makes you unique, powerful and strong.

If you are content with your abilities, you would not have to convince other people to accept you as you are. You don’t need other people’s approval.

What you only need, is that you accept yourself, your strengths and weaknesses. And the whole world will be forced to accept you.

If you have made mistakes, forgive yourself and put all your efforts into achieving your goals with devotion and determination. If there’s darkness or weakness inside you, covering it would not make it disappear.

Accept it and overcome it, first by Understanding and Accepting who You are. You can find the light inside you, which will brighten up your future, and that of those around you. If people blame you for being crazy or being odd or different, let it be.

Only you decide if that craziness will lead you to do miracles, and is the reason you love yourself.

Your imperfections cannot hide the magnificent beauty you hold and the brave and courageous heart with which you accept all your flaws and turn them into your strengths.

Siddhārtha Gautama once said: “Peace comes from within.  Do not seek it without.”

Be content with your efforts, Make peace with yourself, be friends with yourself, and love yourself!
