Stop Resisting And Accepting Life As It Is

Stop Resisting And Accepting Life As It Is. Stress is the result of resistance offered by you against your life. It is not caused by the painful emotions and circumstances of life. It is possible to tackle various circumstances in your life but your resistance to those circumstances takes energy from you and results in stress.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them — that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”        – Lao Tzu

So STOP RESISTING. It’s okay to face hurdles. Accept these, and fight with the problems.

Most of our misery and pain are caused by our resistance to the world as it is. We suffer when we reject what life is.

The more we struggle to escape the negative aspects of our existence, the more tightly they cling to us. Our energy can be better utilized when we accept reality rather than fighting it.

If you don’t stop resisting your life, your emotional, physical, and psychological problems will become more intense. An example of resistance to circumstance is the same as saying to a river to flow in a different direction. You can’t do that, you have to accept the way it is flowing. You can relax in the present moment, breathe deeply and enjoy the river flow wherever it is.

Trying to control circumstances or behavior doesn’t give positive results which are again painful. Accepting the things in the present moment does not mean that you cannot bring changes in your life. To change your life, you must accept your life first. Once you accept it, you will enjoy it without any resistance. You’ll have lots of time and energy to plan things and create the circumstances and experiences that you want.

We often believe that the only way we can be happy is by carving our own path. That, to some extent, is true. But we can not always do that. If you want to catch all the fireflies at night, you might not be able to do it. But you need to be happy even if you have caught one. Accept it and be grateful for it.

“ We cannot change anything until we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses.” — Carl Jung.
