2 Famous Situations When Fear is Better Than Faith

“Fear is a weapon to conquer the battle of life” -Vincent Ehindero

Fear has been tagged the sworn enemy of faith since the beginning of time. But, have you ever thought that it’s the fear factor that makes you want to have faith?? Probably not.

I have with me 2 famous situations when fear is better than faith, and how you can use the fear factor as a positive weapon that faith cannot succeed at.

1. When you sight poverty from afar coming with its bodyguards towards you.

Poverty is one of the best situations when fear surpasses faith. You might not know it directly, because no one actually pays much attention to it.

When you sight poverty, it’s not the faith that gives you the motivation to work hard and create opportunities. It’s the fear.Vincent Ehindero

Many years ago, Alex lived in a small hut. Apparently, when his father died 7 years earlier, his wicked uncles and extended family divided the fortune and he was left miserable, hanging to the thin line of poverty and insecurity.

But, there was a wealthy family that recently moved into his neighborhood. This family had practically everything. Wealth, cars, buildings, lands, and 3 wonderful children.

Now, Alex occasionally peeps out of his bedroom window, down on the home of the wealthy family.

Meanwhile, his wife, Lucy, was pregnant with a set of twins. So he was an expectant father.

On one faithful morning when he was outside his home, he overheard a conversation between the wealthy father and his young son.

The son asked his father a question “Why were you bent on getting so much money, dad?”

His father replies “It’s because I suffered during my childhood. I ate once a day, walked kilometers to school and I was always bullied because my shorts tore and there was no money for another.

Then I made up my mind that none of my children will ever pass through my nasty childhood experiences.

It will hurt any father to see his children suffer while they look helplessly. That’s why I was bent on making it and giving you and your siblings a good life”

“You are my hero dad” the boy said as he hugged his father and let out some tears of love for his dad.

Then Alex heard all their conversations and suddenly, an enormous fear came upon him. He had to make it! His soon to be born children cannot experience hardship or taste poverty.

The fear in Alex was the beginning of the whole process.

It wasn’t faith that gave Alex the energy. It was fear. Fear came to Alex as a type of weapon. Like a sword.

Ever since then, Alex went out of his comfort zone to create multiple opportunities that gave his children and family, the stress-free life that they deserved to live.

2. When You Need To Succeed, You Need Fear

Fear enhances success. Do you quite agree with me on this?

Using myself as an example, I can boldly testify that fear has given me the drive and has enhanced my life for success.

I loved success, I still do. The sweet aroma of becoming the definition of success is mouthwatering.

But fear will always be by the corner of your dream, smiling mischievously, because it knows you will inevitably need it’s factor.

When we fear failure, we fail. You see, that’s the mistake majority people make. They fear failure.

Listen carefully now. Channeling our fears towards failure will come out with regrets instead of benefits.

Fearing failure is fearing “fear” itself. Vincent Ehindero

Failure is mostly the accumulation of untreated mistakes. The accumulation of things you didn’t pay attention to, then it all came back jointly to hunt you. That’s failure.

When you need to succeed, you don’t need to fail once. You need to fear once – Vincent Ehindero

I was once engrossed with the quote “To succeed, you have to fail” to the extent that I was so scared that no matter what I do, I will still fail firstly.

That was the negative mindset I carried for years. I was scared.

Gradually, I was accepting the fact that I will have to fail soonest. I was always programming my mindset towards that.

Then the worst happened. Because I had prepared that I will fail, I failed beyond expectations. I was disappointed with myself.

This is the most dangerous quote that I’ve seen in my life. “Before you succeed, you have to firstly fail”

Now you might be asking, “what then should I fear in other to succeed, if I can’t fear failure?”

The answer is…

Fear God

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and HIS righteousness. And all other things will be added unto you.” -Matthew 6:33

You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day” –Deuteronomy 8:18

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” -Joshua 1:8
